I'm Görkem, a UI/UX designer and engineer based in Ankara, leading the design team at PushBrands, a Saudi UGC marketplace. I've spent over eight years designing and building digital products, and lately the systems underneath them: Helmlab, a color space trained on 64,000 human color judgments that now ships in Color.js; open-source tools for icons, sound and the terminal; and, as Orbit Design, Figma plugins with more than 100,000 users.

A UI/UX designer and engineer based in Ankara, Türkiye, leading the design team at PushBrands. Görkem works across product design and front-end engineering, and researches color science for interfaces.
Helmlab is a family of two color spaces for UI design systems, created by Görkem. MetricSpace predicts how different two colors look about 23% better than CIEDE2000 (STRESS 22.48 vs 29.20 on 3,813 color pairs), and GenSpace generates gradients and palettes that stay perceptually even. It is available on npm and PyPI, is part of Color.js, and is described in a paper on arXiv.
Besides Helmlab: ColorBench, a benchmark for perceptual color spaces; a pool of 46 cleaned color-perception datasets; ACS, a CSS-like language for interface sound; Caret, a design system for command-line tools; optical-center, which centers icons visually at build time; fidelity-ui; and macOS apps such as Cachesweep, Clean Browser and ScreenControl.
Görkem leads UI/UX at PushBrands (since 2026) and previously led the UI/UX team at Bul (2023–2026). Earlier roles include senior UI/UX designer at Solution House and NextLua, and UI/UX designer at Strajedi. Görkem also taught UI/UX at Kur Akademi and led the Friends of Figma Ankara community (2024–2025).
